Macroscopic gold is yellow

Gold solution stabilized by polymer ligand (CTAC). The first gold nanoparticle synthesis of 1856 by Michael Faraday is still stable today.

We dipped an eyelash in a gold nanoparticle solution. Using a spectroscopy method, the nanoparticle can be resolved and compared to the eyelash size.
